came upon this book in a unique way. I was invited to attend a local authors
book fair in my hometown. It was a very interesting event. I didn't know
so many talented writers lived around Batavia, NY! Well, it was there
I met Bill O'Shea and his lovely wife, Kathleen. They wanted to swap books
with me, but I had already beaten them to it. I'd purchased this novel
myself because it looked like a good read for the Christmas Season. I
was right! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend you get it for
yourself or as a gift.
A CHRISTMAS PRESENT is about a man, David Connors, who had it all and lost it. He had a promising career, a beautiful wife, and a loving family. Then a tragic accident on Christmas Eve changed his life forever. Christmas became to him a season of grief and despair instead of a season of hope and good cheer. That may sound a little depressing, but something unexpected happens that changes David's outlook on life.
A CHRISTMAS PRESENT is an imaginative, heartwarming tale of love, reconciliation, and the true meaning of Christmas. It is a tale that reminds us that miracles really can happen at Christmas.
While I really enjoyed this book, I must tell you there was one chapter that contained a few curse words from a minor character with a shady reputation.
